Connie Geerts, born in 1965 in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, is the youngest of six children. She grew up on a farm, spending her childhood exploring and drawing with her siblings. In 1987, she began her art career on the West Coast, falling in love with acrylic painting while also working as a video editor and experimenting with sculpture as a member of the Vancouver Island Sculptors Guild.

By 1997, Geerts was showcasing her work in galleries, gaining consistent representation. After moving to Calgary in 2000, her painting style evolved to reflect digital imagery, influenced by her editing background. In 2005, she discovered glass kiln casting, blending her love for translucent color with three-dimensional forms.

Today, Geerts splits her time between acrylic painting and mixed-media sculpture, combining cast glass or resin with contrasting materials. She continues to create from her home studio in Calgary, Alberta.
